Near-infrared photon-pair generation by intermodal four-wave mixing in a few-mode fiber

Abstract

We demonstrate a photon-pair source based on intermodal four-wave mixing in a few-mode fiber generating photons at 965 nm and 1187 nm in the LP01 and LP02 modes, respectively, with a coincidence-to-accidental ratio of 12.
