Beam Quality Deterioration Due to Angular Dispersion of Optical Elements

Abstract

The deterioration of M2 from unity due to angular dispersion for non-monochromatic Gaussian beam is found analytically. It depends on beam size and meansquare variation of optical element angular dispersion averaged with beam spectral distribution.
