Green self-Q-switched Ho:ZBLAN downconversion all-fiber laser at ~ 550 nm

Abstract

We demonstrate a green self-Q-switched Ho3+-doped downconversion all-fiber laser at ~ 550 nm for the first time. The short-pulse laser has a maximum average-power of 18.6 mW with a pulse-duration of 889 ns, yielding the maximum pulse-energy of 264 nJ.
