Self-compression of the signal wave in a PPLN OPO pumped by chirped pulses.

Abstract

We report on an efficient PPLN OPO pumped by ~0.93 psec chirped pulses. When the central frequency of the signal is twice the central frequency of the idler, it delivers ~0.2 psec signal pulses.
