Effective Multi-pass Amplification System for Yb:YAG Thin-Disk Laser

Abstract

We developed Yb:YAG thin-disk multi-pass amplifier, in which a 4-f image relay system was adopted to control the beam propagation, and successfully obtained 29 mJ pulses at a repetition rate of 1 kHz.
