Few-Mode Characteristics of Long-Period Fiber Gratings Made by Tilted Mask Method Measured with Offset Launch

Abstract

Spectral measurement for higher-order mode excitation was performed for LPGs with various grating periods. The higher-order modes by offset launch were observed using a diode laser. Attenuations for LP11 and LP21 input modes were observed.
