Abstract
Synthesis of coupled microring resonator photonic circuits can be extended beyond linear time-invariant systems (filters) to nonlinear and time-varying (modulated) circuits to enable optimized performance and novel functions. I describe a wavelength converter, a quantum biphoton joint spectral distribution synthesizer, and a laser noise eater concept.
