Demonstration of a Free-Space Optical Delay Line Using Space-Time Wave Packets

Abstract

We show that space-time wave-packets whose group velocities are continuously tunable in free space provide a potential platform for optical delay-lines and all-optical buffers by providing group delays that far exceed the pulse widths.
