THz Detection with Structured Plasmonic Channel

Abstract

Contrary to metals, two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG) has a tunable plasma frequency. Here we structure and optimize 2DEG produced at a heterojunction for resonant detection of THz excitation at room temperature.
