Abstract

We present a quantitative study on the screening among phase singularities in random waves. We prove that the fluctuation of the total topological charge Q contained in an area R2 satisfies 〈ΔQ2〉 ~ RlogR rather than the ordinary diffusive 〈ΔQ2〉 ~ R.
