Hybrid mode-locked erbium fiber laser with a 40 GHz phase modulator and graphene saturable absorber

Abstract

We report a hybrid mode-locked erbium fiber laser operating at 40 GHz using CVD monolayer graphene on a D-shaped fiber as saturable absorber. As result, we obtain ultrashort pulses with temporal width of 1 ps.
