Deep Neural Networks for Information Recovery Through Multimode Fibers

Abstract

Image classification and reconstruction from the instensity speckle patterns at the distal end of a multimode fiber (MMF) was demonstrated using Deep Neural Networks (DNNs). Handwritten digits were recovered after propagation in 1km long MMF.
