Solids in Ultrafast Strong Laser Fields: Optical Control of Electronic State

Not Accessible

Your library or personal account may give you access

Abstract

When a strong optical field with amplitude comparable to the internal fields acts on a solid, it creates, for a femtosecond duration of the pulse, a new state of solid where the energy levels and the fundamental symmetries are modified. We discuss recent theoretical predictions in this field and existing developments.
