Joint Characterization of Two Single Photon Detectors with a Fiber-based Source of Entangled Photon Pairs

Abstract

By simultaneously measuring individual and coincidence counts of two single photon detectors connected to an entangled photon pair source, we extract the detector efficiencies, the average number of generated pairs, and the Raman noise floor.
