Improving the Detection of Squeezed Light in the Presence of Loss

Abstract

Squeezed light has many applications, but its quantum advantages disappear quickly with increasing loss. Here we show that a four-wave-mixing-based phase-sensitive amplifier can be used to preserve squeezing even in the presence of substantial loss.
