Mid-Infrared Pump-Probe Measurements of Carrier Dynamics in Black Phosphorus

Abstract

We employ time-resolved transmission measurements to probe the photoexcited carrier dynamics in black phosphorus. Measurements at mid-IR wavelengths near the bandgap exhibit saturable absorption attributed to Pauli blocking and a fluence-dependent recombination time.
