Theoretical Investigation of Blue-laser-diode-pumped High Efficiency CW Ti:sapphire Laser by High Intensity Pumping

Abstract

The efficiency of a blue laser-diode-pumped CW Ti:sapphire laser was investigated theoretically. The maximum optical-to-optical conversion efficiency was obtained to be 20.4% at a pump power of 14W, with a high cavity loss of 20%.
