Greatly Enhanced Absorption in Weakly-Doped Fibers through Coherent Perfect Absorption

Abstract

We experimentally show that coherent perfect absorption is achievable in a few-centimeter-long moderately-doped fiber, and prove the CPA is best configuration to get a uniform absorption per unit length of the absorbing medium.
