The Optical Capacitor: A Cavity with an extended broadband mode using chirped fiber-Bragg gratings

Abstract

We present a novel cavity using chirped fiber Bragg gratings in which an oscillating mode’s wavelength dependency is eliminated making it a broad-band mode. Unlike a Fabry-Perot resonator, this cavity has no frequency constraints within the operating bandwidth.
