Asymmetric Imaging of a Linear Diode Bar for an Optical Cell Stretcher

Abstract

To simplify optical cell stretcher implementation, we demonstrate a novel anamorphic imaging technique for linear diode laser sources. With this, observed red blood cell stretch is comparable to values found with traditional high-NA optics.
