Ultra-Compact Integrated Nanoplasmonic Air-Gap Coupler

Abstract

We present novel design and fabrication steps of an ultra-compact air-gap coupler based on plasmonic waveguides. The theoretical result at 1550 nm is about 70%. The proposed coupler operates at broad frequency range.
