Hyperbolic Tamm Plasmons

Abstract

Prediction of a novel photonic mode at a boundary between a hyperbolic metal-dielectric layer and a distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) is reported. The mode exhibits anisotropic dispersion and strong coupling of transverse-magnetic and transverse-electric oscillations.
