The role of quasi-cylindrical waves and surface plasmons in beam shaping with resonant gratings

Abstract

Quasi-cylindrical waves supported on the surface of a nanograting, like plasmons, can lead to resonant beam shaping. This opens new possibilities in the design and study of dielectric rather than metallic beam shaping nanogratings.
