Classical Cryptography in Multimode Fibers Using Optical Reciprocity

Abstract

We demonstrate a method for secure optical communication in multimode fibers with classical light. Using strong mode mixing in the fiber, and optical reciprocity, a common random key is distributed between two remote parties.
