Physical random number generation using photonic integrated circuit with mutually-coupled semiconductor lasers

Abstract

We propose a photonic integrated circuit with mutually-coupled semiconductor lasers for fast physical random number generation. The random bit sequences generated at 5.56 Gb/s pass statistical tests of randomness.
