Attaining the Quantum Limit of Free-space Optical Communication

Abstract

I will present recent results on explicit error-correcting codes, non-standard joint-detection receiver realizations, and the role of linear and non-linear optics in such receivers, to attain the quantum limit of classical laser-light free-space optical communication. Article not available.
