The Quantum Utility: Comparing Single Photon Sources

Abstract

We devise a new figure of merit, the quantum utility (QMU), enabling direct comparison of single photon sources. Measuring counts, coincidence-to-accidental ratios and second-order correlation functions, we compute the QMU for sources in two materials.
