Mode-Locking in Multi-Core Fiber Nonlinear Couplers

Abstract

Multi-core fiber nonlinear couplers show interesting saturable absorption behavior. We show that two-core fibers produce sufficiently reasonable results and there is no need to increase the number of fiber cores to improve the performance.
