Energy conversion in Er3+ doped chalcogenide fibers for gas optical sensor

Abstract

Er3+ doped chalcogenide fibers are used to convert a 4.3 μm optical signal into an 800 nm radiation with the aim of developing an all-optical infrared gas sensor with a detection in the visible.
