Enhanced confocal axial resolution by subtractive digital light microscopy

Abstract

A confocal digital light microscope is presented with structured light illumination and synchronized CMOS rolling shutter detection. Using dual-line illumination and real-time electronic aperture adjustments, two image subtraction improves the axial resolution by 2.75 times.
