Study of Tyrosine to Tryptophan Energy Transfer in Human Serum Albumin in Presence of Surfactant via Steady-State, Nonlinear and Time-Resolved Fluorescence Techniques

Abstract

The rate of energy transfer between tryptophan and tyrosine residues within a single protein molecule is shown to be a sensitive indicator of conformational changes by the example of human serum albumin/ionic surfactant system.
