Necklace ring beam shaping with optical phase element at 2.94 μm in Er:YAG solid state system

Abstract

A binary optical phase element was implemented externally to an Er:YAG solid state laser operating at 2.94μm with a pulse energy up to 23.85 J/cm2 in order to generate a necklace beam shape.
