Theory and Design of Off-Axis Microring Resonators based Compact Band Pass Filter for On-chip Applications

Abstract

We have developed a concrete theory for microring resonator with single and multiple off-axis inner rings. A compact design of bandpass filter using serially coupled off-axis microring resonators has been proposed and demonstrated numerically.
