Synchronization of Chaotic Outputs in Multimode Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Lasers

Abstract

We have explored experimentally chaos synchronization in unidirectionally coupled multimode vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers with orthogonal optical injection. Good synchronization is achieved when dominant modes of the receiver are locked to those of the injection.
