Slow-light and microcavities for optical signal processing in the SOI platform

Abstract

Photonic crystals and PhC microcavities are well suited for manipulating optical signals at 1.5 microns. New concepts and results obtained on SOI chips will be presented including PhC/microring hybrids and low power modulators.
