Impact of Cone Disarray on the Stiles-Crawford Effect of the First Kind

Abstract

The Stiles-Crawford effect of the first kind is a result of cone photoreceptor waveguiding. Cone photoreceptor disarray may smear out the characteristic visibility function. We analyse the effect experimentally and numerically for different cone disarrays.
