Plasmonic Modulator via Interfacing Between a Metallic Layer and a Photoconductive Substrate

Abstract

A plasmonic modulator consisting of a metallic layer interfaced with a photoconductive material and a segregated coupling-in and coupling-out grating is proposed and fabricated. Steering of light results from the change in the photoconductivity.
