Abstract

An ultra-high speed adaptive element is used to provide simultaneous real-time imaging of multiple and selectable focal planes in a bulk specimen. This novel approach offers promising perspectives in several relevant areas including 3-D microfabrication, microfluidics and biomedical imaging.
