Investigation of Collagen Fiber Organization in Cornea and Sclera using Quantitative SHG Microscopy

Abstract

We propose the application of Fourier transform-second harmonic generation and polarization-resolved second-harmonic generation microscopy to quantify collagen fiber organization and content, respectively. As an example, the techniques are applied to the cornea and sclera.
