Molecular imaging at the sub-cellular level by extreme ultraviolet single-shot laser nano-ablation

Abstract

Laser ablation mass spectrometry imaging is demonstrated with sub-cellular spatial resolution using Extreme Ultraviolet laser pulses. The technique has the potential to yield 3D maps of cell composition with 100nm lateral and 20nm depth resolution.
