Higher Order Mode Generation in Optical Nanofibers for the Purpose of Cold Atom Trapping

Abstract

We present an investigation into the behavior of higher order modes in optical nanofibers. We excite and analyze different modes in few-mode fibers and subsequently examine their behavior during the nanofiber fabrication process.
