A Near-IR Frequency-Comb for astronomical calibration

Abstract

We present here the planned setup for the wavelenght calibrator of the IR astronomical spectrograph GIANO. We describe which are the required performances of the optimal calibrator source and how we plan to realize them using a laser comb.
