Abstract

Photoacoustic tomography combines optical (endogenous or exogenous, fluorescent or non-fluorescent) contrast and ultrasonic resolution for in vivo functional and molecular imaging. Super-depths beyond the optical diffusion limit have been reached with high spatial resolution.
