Third Harmonic Generation using Surface Plasmon Polaritons at Nonlinear Interfaces

Abstract

We show that a third harmonic electromagnetic wave is generated by surface plasmons propagating at a nonlinear metal-dielectric interface. The angular- and intensity dependence of the generated wave are calculated and analyzed.
