Pairs of Optical Nanoantennas for Enhancing Second-Harmonic Generation

Abstract

By properly designing pairs of nanoantennas, we theoretically show that the second-harmonic generation in nonlinear media can be enhanced by combining field enhancement at the fundamental frequency and the Purcell effect at the second harmonics.
