Generation of modulated vortices with a femtosecond laser and a programmable pulse shaper

Abstract

Femtosecond optical vortices are created with a reflective programmable pulse shaper. Patterns include the spiral phase mask, blazed fork grating, and modulated spiral phase. The authors will discuss these results and present their latest work.
