Quasi-Phase-Matched Second-Harmonic Generation in High-Quarity AlGaAs Waveguides Pumped at 1.55 μm

Abstract

We have fabricated high-quality periodically-inverted AlGaAs ridge waveguides by introducing the low temperature MBE growth process, and achieved relatively low propagation losses and highly efficient quasi-phased matched second-harmonic generation pumped at 1.55 μm.
