High-Throughput Cell Deformation Cytometry in a Microfluidic Flow with a Single-Emitter Laser Diode

Abstract

We demonstrate cell stretching with optical forces in a microfluidic flow at rates 10-100 times faster than previous methods. The elastic modulus of each cell can be determined from measurements of the equilibrium deformation.
