Above-Threshold Analysis of Large-Area, High-Power, Vertically-Emitting Circular Bragg Lasers

Abstract

An exact energy relation is derived for the vertically-emitting circular Bragg lasers. By including gain saturation effects, the modal pump level and energy conversion efficiency are compared between different types of lasers in above-threshold operation.
