Raman-Assisted Fiber Optical Parametric Amplification (RAFOPA): Numerical Simulations and Experimental Results

Abstract

We investigate theoretically and experimentally the RAOPA. Performances of amplification and wavelength conversion are discussed. We demonstrate several benefits compare to simple OPA, such as gain and bandwidth increase, spectrum tailoring and power distribution flexibility.
